A stellar effort by Brady Swafford spurred Ocoee to a 2-1 win in seven innings over Cleveland on Monday.
Swafford handled Cleveland’s lineup with ease, racking up 11 strikeouts. The Colts’ pitcher allowed no earned runs, one hit and three walks over six innings.
Mason Oran helped Ocoee pull ahead for the duration in the seventh inning. Jacob Weir walked to start the frame, then went from first to second on a sac bunt by Jacob McCall. Finally, Oran came to the plate with the score tied 1-1 and singled, bringing home Weir.
Trevor Ramsey threw one inning of scoreless ball for the Colts.
Cason Still, Swafford, Oran, and Ramsey all collected hits for Colts.
In the top of the first, the Colts grabbed the early lead, 1-0. A double by Swafford plating Oran started the inning off.
Cleveland scored its only run of the game on an error in the fifth inning.

In game two, Ocoee refused to relinquish the lead after grabbing it early against Cleveland, recording a 10-1 victory.
The game was decided quickly as the Colts exerted their will early with six runs in the first three innings.
A passed ball in the first inning and an RBI single by Cooper Melton in the second helped OMS put some runs on the board early.
Mason Oran went a perfect 3-3 at the dish for Colts. Oran doubled in the third inning and singled in the first and fifth innings.
Jacob Grant threw one inning of scoreless ball for the Colts.
Ocoee increased its lead with four runs in the third. Oran doubled plating Trae Carlton to start the inning. The hit was followed up by Swafford’s single, scoring McCall.
Ocoee tacked on another two runs in the fourth.

soccer win
The OMS Colts took a 2-1 lead into the half and went on to pick up a 5-1 soccer win over Lake Forest on Monday.
Jake Poulakis scored in the first minute of the game and came back and scored again later in the first half to put the Colts up 2-0.
In the second half, Poulakis scored again and Andrew Hannah was responsible for the other two.
Lake Forest ended the day with one goal by Tyrell Pinter.
