She was the daughter of the late, Fanny Tallent Wilson and Murray Wilson.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Dennis O. Gallahar; son, Scotty Lynn Gallahar; brothers: Horace L. “Red” Wilson, Claude Wilson and Lloyd Jack Wilson; and sisters: Elizabeth Kessler, Roxie Wilson, Betty Jo Merrell and Thelma R. Arthur.
She was a 1939 graduate of Polk County High School and a longtime member of Faith Memorial Church.
Survivors include her sons: Johnny Gallahar and his wife, Frances, of Katy, Texas, and Dennis O. Gallahar Jr. of Greeneville; daughter-in-law, Jo Gallahar of Castalian, Springs; sister, Lillian Aikins of Etowah; brother, Jimmy E. Wilson of Madisonville; grandchildren: Sherry Gallahar of Castalian Springs, Jonathan T. Gallahar and his wife, Dawn, of Katy, Scotty L. Gallahar and his wife, Becky, of Portland, Tenn.; great-grandchildren: Scotty L. Gallahar Jr. and Colby Gallahar, both of Portland, and Colton Gallahar of Katy; and several nieces and nephews.
A Remembrance of Life service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 6, 2011, at the North Ocoee Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Homes with Pastor David Riggs and Pastor Albert Ellis officiating.
Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Bobby Kessler, Roger Farley, Colton Gallahar, Scotty L. Gallahar, Charles Wilson, Todd Gallahar, Colby Gallahar and Scotty L. Gallahar Jr. serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
