Ruth Evelyn Boring Mason, 83, a resident of Clare Bridge in Cleveland and formerly of Turtletown, departed this life for her heavenly reward on Sunday, Aug. 24, 2014.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Don Mason; and parents, Hettie King and Earl Boring.
Survivors include her daughters, Donna Mason and Debbie Mizell (husband Gerald, both of Cleveland; brother, J.D. Boring of Cold Springs, Texas; grandchildren: Jonathan, Christopher and Jerry Mizell, and Jennifer Mizell Chestnut; great-grandchildren: Coleston Mizell, Piper, Corey and Dylan Chestnut, Morgan, and Mikayla and Macie Mizell; a number of nieces and nephews also survive.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2014, at 1 p.m. from the chapel of Akins Funeral Home in Copper Hill with the Revs. Terry Gladson and Ray Harper officiating.
Interment will follow in the Zion Hill Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Johnny Nix, Tommy Taylor, Randy Collins, Ronnie Hensley, Glen Hughes and Bill Nix. Serving as an honorary pallbearer will be Joe Fetzer.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2014, from 11 a.m. until the service hour.
