Shopaholics of all budgets are invited to attend the Salvation Army’s first ever Shopper’s Extravaganza for direct sales and crafts Saturday, April 6.

Vendors listed include, but are not limited to, the Pampered Chef, Mary Kay, Avon, Gold Canyon Candle, Obagi Skin Care, Tastefully Simple, Silpada, Jewelry, VindiMa Girl, Origami Owl, Tupperware, It Works, Scentsy and Candy by Carrie.

“A lot of times people want to [buy direct sales], but they do not want to have a home party,” said Ruthie Forgey, corps administrator at Cleveland’s Salvation Army. “This way they can purchase goods either directly or order items from the direct sales representative’s inventory.”

Forgey suggested using the Shopper’s Extravaganza as an opportunity to shop for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, birthdays and graduation gifts.

Admission is free and adult attendees will have their names placed in a drawing for door prizes. The prizes will come from the vendors. Melissa Snyder, Salvation Army community relations director, said vendors are asking to do separate door prizes, as well.

The event is scheduled for April 6, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., in the Peerless Road Church of God of Prophecy gym.
