Sarameida Pendergrass Ware, 70, a resident of Georgetown, suddenly went home to be with her Heavenly Father, Monday June 17, 2013.

She was retired from Kentucky Fried Chicken on Keith Street, where she worked for many years.

She was a member of Brittsville Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her father, Chester Pendergrass; her mother and stepfather, Josephine Cranfield Lewis and Ted “Fid” Lewis; her husband, Freddie Ware; two children: Audra Jean Howard and William Craig Howard; and a grandson, Kevin Howard.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories two daughters and their spouses: Beverly and Bobby Rayburn of Cleveland and Gloria and Tim Book; one son and his wife, Jeff and Denise Howard, all of Georgetown: sisters: Debbie Dixon and Melanie Whaley; brothers: Dale Pendergrass, Terry Pendergrass, Ronnie Pendergrass and David Pendergrass; grandchildren: Amy Stiles, Jennifer Standifer, Tray Howard, Secily Taj, Sierra Howard, Meghan and Matthew Zook, Sarah and Matthew Book; nine great-grandchildren; a very special aunt, Ruby Everett; and many nieces and nephews.

A Remembrance of Life service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 22, 2013, at Brittsville Baptist Church with Pastor Ken Purdie officiating.

Interment will follow in McInturf Cemetery with Matthew Book, Leslie Jones, Mike Pendergrass, Tray Howard, Brian Stiles and Cody Whaley serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 this evening and Friday, from 3 to 9 p.m., at the North Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Homes.

The body will be at the church from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday.
