SHARKS TOURNAMENT

The Sharks baseball team will host Sharks Invitational baseball tournaments at Cleveland Middle School and Cleveland State Community College on the following dates: 13-under tournament May 10-12 at Cleveland Middle School. The cost is $250 per team. The entry deadline is May 3. 14-under tournament May 17-19 at Cleveland State Community College. The cost is $250 per team. The entry deadline is May 10. CSCC TOURNAMENTS

Cleveland State will host a series of summer baseball tournaments at Cleveland State Community College in Cleveland, Tennessee. June 1, 2: 16-under (enter by May 10). June 7-9: 18-under (enter by May 17). June 15, 16: 15-under (enter by May 24). June 22, 23: 14-under (enter by May 31). June 22, 23: 13-under (enter by May 31). The 15-under tournament and 16-under tournaments will be three games pool play and championship. The cost for the tournaments is $350. The 18-under tournament will be four games pool play and championship. The cost for this tournament is $400. The 14-under and 13-under tournaments will be three games pool play and championship. The cost for this tournament is $300. Tournaments will be played under the Tennessee high school rules.

CSCC CAMPS

Cleveland State Baseball Coach Mike Policastro will conduct the following summer Baseball Camps: Youth Skills Camp, June 3-6 for ages 6-12. The camp hours will be 9 a.m.-12 p.m. Campers will participate in group instruction and participate in a game each day. The cost will be $75 and includes a camp T-shirt. The Youth Pitcher/Catcher Camp will be held June 10-12 from 9-11:30 a.m. The Youth Hitting Camp will be June 17-19 from 9-11:30 a.m. Both camps will be for ages 8-16. The camps will consist of advanced instruction on the fundamentals of pitching, catching and hitting. The cost for the camps is $60 per session and includes a camp T-shirt. NEW TRAVEL TEAM

A new 12-under travel baseball team will start play this spring after the middle school season is over. Players cannot turn 12 before May 1 of this year. Playing mostly local tournaments, the cost will be low to participate. An experienced coaching staff will direct in a fun atmosphere. For more information or to set up a tryout call 715-5690.

PACK THE PARK NIGHT

The Cleveland Lady Raiders softball team is holding Pack the Park Family Night at 5 p.m. April 15 at Brenda McKenzie Lawson Field. Admission is $1 for everyone and hotdogs and drinks will be $.25. Ther will also be a tailgate party and giveaways.

OMS CAMP

The Ocoee Middle Learn to play skills camp for basketball players ages five through middle school will be held May 20-22 from 5-8 p.m. at OMS. The cost for the camp is $45 and will cover shooting dribbling, passing and defense. The camp will be run by OMS coach Joe Spencer and assistants. Registration will be the day of camp.

The Ocoee Regions Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) will be hosting their 2013 FCA Spring Banquet on April 11 at First Baptist Church. 65 ROSES 5K

The 65 Roses 5K Road Race will take place April 13 at 8:30 a.m. The first 750 entrants in the 3.1-mile race will receive a HeadSweats hat or visor. Awards will be given for first, second and third place male and female finishers in 11 separate age divisions. Race-day packet pick-up begins at 7 a.m. the day of the race. The Kay McDaniel Tennis Clinic for boys and girls ages 6-13 will be held at Lee University June 3-7. The clinic is free and is for all skill levels.
