The second annual rf5Kc netted several thousand dollars to support the local Royal Family Kids’ Camp — a five-day summer camp for children ages 7 through 11 who are in the foster-care system.

More than 50 children will be attending the 14th annual camp in June at no cost to their foster families, according to camp director Lance Colkmire.

The goal of the faith-based ministry is to provide children a week of positive memories.

Winners of the 5K event were Mark Lorello and Sherron Smith (18 and older); Logan Manning and Merritt Jenkins (18 and under).

Event sponsors were South Cleveland Church of God, Advocare (Jeremy and Kari Sauls), Bradley/Polk OB-GYN Services P.C., Davis Photography, GNC-Bradley Square Mall, Oasis Gynecology & Obstetrics, Pediatric Dentistry of Cleveland L.L.C., Physician Services of Cleveland P.C., Precision Auto Shop, Southern Heritage Bank and Twin Rivers Medical Group.

Donors were Ashley Lauren’s Closet, Buffalo Wild Wings, Bi-Lo, Chattanooga Cupcakes, Chili’s, Mix 104.1, Mullinax Lincoln-Mercury, Old Fort Restaurant, Orange Leaf, SkyRidge Medical Center, and Waterville Golf Course.
