The Neff scholarship is valued at up to the amount of full tuition and is Tennessee Wesleyan’s top academic award. The scholarship is designed to award high school students who have demonstrated academic leadership; and to be considered for the award, students much have a minimum 3.6 GPA and minimum 28 ACT score.
Whitmire graduated from Bradley Central High School and plans to major in physical therapy while at Tennessee Wesleyan.
“I’m excited about starting college at TWC,” said Whitmire. “It’s a small, Christian school that is not too far from home, and I have been given the opportunity to continue playing soccer.”
Tennessee Wesleyan College offers more than 30 majors in education, business, criminal justice, pre-med and many others, and the PACE Evening program is the perfect way for working adults to earn a degree. Financial aid is still available and 95 percent of Tennessee Wesleyan students receive financial aid through scholarships and grants.
The College will host its final registration for the 2010-2011 academic year on Aug.13. Classes begin Aug. 18.
