She was retired from Eaton Cutler-Hammer. While living in Johnson City, she was a certified nursing assistant in home health care.
She had a passion for her family and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was loved by all who knew her.
She was the daughter of the late Clayton and Geneva Hembree. She was also preceded in death by her father-in-law, Fred Ramsey Sr.; and mother-in-law, Martha Ramsey.
Survivors include her husband of nearly 29 years, Fred Ramsey Jr.; her sons: Reggie Sparks and his wife, Michelle, and Toma Sparks and his wife, Charity, of Johnson City; daughters: Angie Sparks and her husband, Roy Trentham, and Aubrey Rominger, all of Cleveland; grandchildren: Brittany Sparks, Taylor and Tori Sparks, Brian, Shay and Khalia Sparks, and Brandon and Aaliyah Trentham; sisters: Carol Spillman and Brenda Parker, both of Cleveland; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Remembrance of Life Service will be held at 4 p.m. Monday, Aug. 6, 2012, at the Wildwood Chapel of the Jim Rush Funeral Homes with the Rev. Ray Cheatham officiating.
Interment will follow in the Sunset Memorial Gardens with Fred Ramsey, Reggie Sparks, Toma Sparks, Brian Sparks, Roy Trentham and D.J. Smith serving as casket bearers.
The family will receive friends tonight from 5 to 8 at the funeral home.
