Smith named president of E. Tenn. trustees

Bradley County Trustee Mike Smith has been named president of the East Tennessee Trustees Association.

“I am honored my fellow trustees have elected me to lead our East Tennessee Association for the next two years,” Smith said.

Smith was selected at a recent meeting. The trustee has served as vice president of the association since September 2010.

He also serves as secretary of the Tennessee Trustee’s Association.

He was named East Tennessee Trustee of the Year in 2009 by the Tennessee County Trustee Association.

Smith has served as Bradley County trustee since 2006.

Other officers named at the meeting are Rodney Archer of Anderson County, vice president; and Scott Graves of Blount County, secretary/treasurer.
