According to a report filed by deputy Nathan Aly, he went to a Brookhill Lane address and spoke with Treva Swafford.
Swafford said someone entered her home, possibly through a basement door which was not secure due to storm damage, and took jewelry and other property.
A plasma TV, a smaller flat-screen TV, a 35mm camera, an iPod touch and oak jewelry chest were taken along with the jewelry.
No serial numbers were available at the time of the report for some of the electronic items stolen.
The missing items were valued at over $2,000.
Investigation is continuing.
n A Leadmine Valley Road man was charged with possession of Schedule VI drugs and other charges after a Bradley County deputy spotted his truck pulled off the side of the road.
Deputy Darren Miller made contact with Joshua K. Gardner, 31, near Weatherly Switch and Blue Springs Road.
Gardner appeared to be asleep inside his vehicle, according to Miller’s report.
After waking Gardner, Miller performed a pat down and found a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana.
Gardner was taken into custody and as the deputy performed an inventory of the car Gardner was in, he found alleged drug paraphernalia inside.
Gardner was taken to the Bradley County Jail and charged with DUI (third offense), violation of implied consent, altering a license plate and simple possession of marijuana, according to the report.
