Students of Westmore Music Academy presented their annual Christmas recital on Dec. 11 in the sanctuary of Westmore Church of God.

The program featured the students of Rita Ready, Judy Warrington, Vera Voznyuk, Megan Castleberry ad Hanny Daulton.

A variety of traditional Christmas carols were performed as well as ballet, vocal selections and violin.

The program ended with a duet performance of “Sleigh Ride,” arranged by Edwards played by Rita Ready and Judy Warrington. Parents and students enjoyed a reception after the recital.

Those participating in the recital performing on the piano were: Rachael Rio-Branco, Lane Estrada, Eli Blake, Myles Mann, Grace Greenwood, Julie Edwards, Emily Powers,m Savannah Rymer, Michael Winters, Shelby Scroggins, Maddie Morris, Haley Cabrera and Luke Morrison.

Playing a violin solo was Isabel Adkins Performing ballet selections were Addie Smith, Ashlyn Brown, Ava Rahamut, Kira Phelps and Emma Adkins. Vocal performances were given by Hallie Wielfaert, Abigail Jackson and Emmie Boston.

Westmore Academy offers private instruction in piano, violin, guitar and voice as well as other instruments. Classes in ballet, hip hop, creative movement and contemporary dance are offered as well.

Kindermusik for children, ages newborn to 7 years, is offered as well with teacher Dee Lancaster.

The new semester will begin Jan. 3, 2013.

North Cleveland Academy of the Arts

Students of North Cleveland Academy of the Arts recently presented their Christmas recital on Dec. 13 in the main sanctuary at North Cleveland Church of God for students of instructors, Ruth James and Rita Ready.

Students participating were Danté Williams, Hannah Nation, Lillian Rogers, Katie Turner, Brandon Huppe, Adelynne Bot, Kenny Walters, Christian Walters, Noah Fowler, Cynthia West, Sylvia Porter, Kathleen Alcock, Anna Sherrill and Stella Sherrill.

A reception was given immediately after the recital.
