She was the daughter of the late Sophie Holbrook Jones and Sherron Jones. Her husband, Willard L. Trewhitt, and her brother Quinton Jones also preceded her in death.
She was a longtime hairdresser and was considered a wonderful flower and vegetable gardener. She supported her community by working for Meals on Wheels, she would often give rides to people who had doctor’s appointments and would also take people to their cancer treatment appointments. She was a member of First Christian Church in Huntsville, Ala., where she was very active.
Survivors include her daughter, Barbara Paris and her husband, Joel D. Paris, of Ooltewah; her grandchildren: David D. Paris and his wife, Lt. Colonel Teresa Paris, of Albuquerque, N.M., James S.W. Paris and his wife, April, of Hixson and Joseph L.-A. Paris of Ooltewah; her sister, Ruth Harris of Norcross, Ga.; her brother, Johnny “J.R.” Jones of Murphy, N.C.; and her nieces: Pam Lovingood, Kimberly McMillian, Shauna Jones, Janice Jerkins and Karen Crowder.
The Remembrance of Life service will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. from First Christian Church with Pastor Karen Bogart officiating.
A graveside service and interment will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. from Zion Hill Cemetery in Turtletown, with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
The North Ocoee Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Homes has charge of the arrangements.
