An afternoon ceremony on Feb. 25, 2012, united Laura German and Eddie Swallows, both of Old Fort, in marriage at Blue Ridge Temple Baptist Church in Old Fort.

The bride is the daughter of Ronnie and Ann German of Old Fort. She is the granddaughter of Marvin and Evelyn Stinnett of Old Fort, James W. German of Benton and the late Nancy German.

The bridegroom is the son of Rickey and Paulette Swallows of Old Fort. He is the grandson of Edward and Ruth Ann Swallows of Old Fort, Glen Darnell and Le Nguyen of Delano and the late Peggy Darnell.

The wedding was officiated by the Rev. Charles Cheatham, pastor of Boanerges Baptist Church. Music was presented by Caleb Shelton.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. Her sister Hollie German of Old Fort attended her as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Kelly Peters of Cleveland and Lauren Ambrest of Dunedin, Fla.

Kenny Adams of Old Fort was best man to the bridegroom. Groomsmen were Seth Farmer of Greasy Creek and J.J. Calhoun of Old Fort.

The reception was held in the church fellowship hall. JoAnn Whitehead, Andrew Whitehead and Laura and Matt Sharp assisted and served. BreAnne Martin and Summer Calhoun attended the bride’s book.

The newlywed couple resides in Benton.
