She was the daughter of Randall Gasperson (Judy) of Fletcher, N.C, and Sue Christopher (Val) of Apison.
A native of Columbus, Ohio, she had lived in Apison for two years. She will be remembered for being a devoted mother of her six children and an avid animal lover. She also enjoyed camping and going to the movies.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents: Lois and Wayne Stockberger and Betty Robinson.
She leaves behind the following family members to cherish her memory: her husband, Chris Hopkins of Columbus; her son, Corey Gasperson; her five daughters: Draven, Davin, Darian, Daelynn, and Danae Hopkins; her sister, Tina Philippe (Eric); and her step-brother, Daniel Britton.
The family will have a celebration of life service on Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012, at 4 p.m. at Hamilton Community Seventh-day Adventist Church, located on 7997 Shallowford Road,Chattanooga, TN 37421.
The family will receive friends for an hour prior to the service starting at 3 p.m.
