“I love this company — everything about it and everything it stands for,” said Riden. “I love the way they treat us with respect; even as a secretary, you’re important. People have always shown me such kindness; I just want to give back. This award is a great honor.”
Riden serves as secretary for Jeff Billings, senior legal counsel, and has been a Life Care associate for more than five years. During the presentation, she was praised for her expert organizational skills, constant commitment to professional development, willingness to aid other departments and personal character.
Riden received a dozen roses, a tiara and a gift package from Bliss Spa.
“She is a great asset to the company,” said Billings. “She’s very organized and very supportive. I couldn’t do without her.”
“Life Care is blessed with exceptional secretaries — individuals who daily demonstrate their professional skills, their organizational ability and their warm and engaging personalities,” said Beecher Hunter, Life Care president. “But they are also people who have dedicated themselves to the mission of serving those entrusted to us. We are grateful for their work and their loyalty. Tammy Riden, who was chosen as Life Care’s Secretary of the Year, is a marvelous example of the talent and commitment of our secretaries.”
The ceremony was part of a breakfast honoring all of Life Care’s corporate secretaries. The program also included an address by motivational speaker Donna Tyson.
