The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag led by Oleta Ownby opened the noon meeting of the Taylors Family and Community Education Club at Taylors Ruritan Club on Oct. 2. Hostesses were Doreen Johnson, Mary Ann Cornelius, Mary Bagley and Ms. Ownby.

Ruby Ball gave the devotion, reading from Psalm 104:19 and a poem, “At Harvest Time.”

Pauline Cartwright called the roll which was answered by “What office or offices have you held in FCE or other club(s)?”

Members discussed where the Christmas party will be held this year. Linda Brown will check into this and report at the November meeting. Plans were also discussed to decorate and serve at the Fall Rally.

In the educational segment of the program, Ownby gave a presentation on healthy homes and how to clean up mold. Members received a checklist of things to do around the home in order to maintain a healthy home, reduce allergens, prevent illness and reduce injury from accidents.

Others present were Brenda Carder, Linda Brown, Bennie Jenkins, Swanola McKeeham and a guest, Judy Bowlin.
