Taylors FCE prepare baskets for annual Valentine banquet

Bradley County Extension agent Kaye Smith presented a program on crock pot cooking in the Feb. 5 meeting of Taylors Family and Community Education Club. Helpful hints were provided on cooking in a crock pot, along with the history of the crock pot. Handouts were given out on purchasing and safety, along with a recipe.

The noon meeting was held at the Agricultural Extension Office.

Oleta Ownby opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.

Pauline Cartwright called the roll which was answered by “What is your favorite food on a cold winter day? Members assembled three baskets for the auction at the Valentine’s Day banquet.

Ms. Cartwright offered the blessing before the meal. Pizza and dessert were enjoyed by all.
