Taylors Family and Community Education Club met May 1 at Taylors Ruritan Club.

Hostesses were Joan Bryson, Linda Brown and Brenda Carder.

The noon meeting was opened by Swanola McKeehan with the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. Ruby Ball read a poem, “The Golden Years of Life” by Helen Steiner Rice, and read from Proverbs 4:18.

Pauline Cartwright called the roll which was answered by “What is something you wish you could do, but cannot do?” She read the April minutes.

Next month, the club members will travel to Madisonville to try out a new restaurant.

Kathy Hayes with the UT Extension Office presented a program on a walking tape by Leslie Sansome.

The program may be started in Bradley County if there is enough interest.

It will last about an hour and sounds very interesting. The time and place will be announced later. The members also played “Calorie Bingo.”

Others present were Mary Bagley, Bennie Jenkins, Retha Odom, Mary Lou Woods, Doreen Johnson, Mary Ann Cornelius, Sherrie Duvall and Oleta Ownby.
