Voted Knoxville’s Best Band three years in a row by the Metro Pulse Readers Poll, The Dirty Guv’nahs members have showcased their music at such events as Bonnaroo, Wakarusa, Musikfest, Bele Chere and Sundown in the City.
“The Dirty Guv’nahs are coming off a successful sold-out performance at the historic Bijou Theater in Knoxville’s old City,” said LaMone Rose, executive director of the Gem Players of Etowah. “We are very fortunate to have them in concert at the Gem Theater as they are definitely ‘rising stars’ in the music world.”
The Dirty Guv’nahs have been spreading rock gospel across the Southeast for four years.
The band has recorded its second album, “Youth Is In Our Blood,” with a Grammy-winning production team at the legendary Levon Helm Studios in Woodstock, N.Y., in December 2009. Their self-titled first album, “The Dirty Guv’nahs,” was recorded earlier that year in January 2009.
The Gem Theater is located in downtown Etowah, across the street from the historic L&N Depot. Tickets are $12 for general admission and may be purchased online at www.gemplayers.com or by calling the Gem Players office at 423-263-3270.
