WOW! Every thought you have shapes your life. When I read that sentence in John C. Maxwell’s book, “The Difference Maker” it stopped me for a moment. Since thoughts make up a lot of our attitude we really are what we think.
If a person thinks ill and unkind thoughts of someone, for example a neighbor or a coworker, then that is the attitude they have toward that person.
If you are flooded with thoughts over the way people drive while heading home during rush hour, your attitude toward them is composed of your thoughts.
Dr. Wayne Dyer, Ph.D., an author and speaker in the field of self-development, believes when we change the way we look at things the things we look at change. He also was quoted saying “When you judge another, you do not define them, you define yourself.”

To sum it all up, our thoughts comprise our overall attitude. What’s on your mind? For some of us it may be a place we would rather not talk about. The best advice I can give is from Philippines 4:8, from the New International Version of the Bible. “Finally, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable — if anything is excellent or praiseworthy — think about such things.”
If we keep our mind on these things then think about how great our attitude would be — not to mention how much joy this would bring us. Life is short. Don’t just live your life ... live it well.
