A late-night crash on Interstate 75 Thursday injured two travelers.

Tennessee Highway Patrol officials confirmed Monday that one of the victims succumbed to her injuries.

Katherine T. Fabin, 62, of an Ocoee Street address, passed away during the weekend, according to Jennifer Donnals of the THP Information Office.

Trooper Cameron Azbill is in charge of the crash investigation.

According to 911 reports, Tennessee Highway Patrol is in charge of investigating the incident in which a car is thought to have crossed the median and struck two other vehicles near southbound mile marker 22.

The crash was reported just before 10:30 p.m. Thursday, according to reports.

Stan Clark of Bradley County Emergency Medical Service said Bradley County Fire-Rescue personnel extricated Fabin from one vehicle and aided a 63-year-old man.

The 63-year-old man was taken to SkyRidge Medical Center and LifeForce helicopter was dispatched to the scene to transport Fabin to Erlanger Medical Center.

Another driver involved was treated and released at the scene, according to Clark.

The interstate’s southbound lanes were blocked for several hours as THP conducted an investigation.

Northbound lanes were also affected at times.
