Clyde and Sally Trew of Ten Mile recently celebrated their 50th anniversary at a party on Watts Bar Lake hosted by their children and their spouses and the grandchildren. It was a grand time with approximately 60 friends and relatives in attendance. The couple met and fell in love in Hightstown, N.J., in 1960 after Clyde was discharged from the U.S. Air Force. They were married two years later on May 26, 1962. They moved south in 1964 where Clyde went to work for TVA as a lineman. He later went on to become a journeyman electrician and retired in 2009. Sally followed her love of photography into the newspaper field writing articles, taking photos and selling advertising for several of the newspapers that came to Meigs County over the years. She also became a medical assistant. The couple have lived in Meigs County for approximately 40 years. They have three children — Cindy, Tom, and Scott — and three grandchildren — William, Tommy and Tyler Trew.
