The Bradley County Trustee’s Office will offer a satellite site Saturday to aid area taxpayers in meeting the Feb. 28 deadline for paying property taxes.

The Trustee’s Office will be accepting payments at Bradley Square Mall near the Kmart entrance from 9 a.m. to noon.

“The satellite locations have been very popular with taxpayers. They have eliminated the need for citizens to come to the Courthouse and have allowed property owners to pay their property taxes closer to home,” Bradley County Trustee Mike Smith said in a press release.

Individuals paying at satellite locations will need to bring their tax statements and a check. This is the only form of payment accepted at the satellite locations. Only payments of current taxes due will be accepted.

Satellite locations are offered each year as a convenience for Bradley County property taxpayers who have the option of visiting the mall instead of going to the downtown Courthouse. These satellite sites have been offered to Bradley County residents since 2007.

The Trustee’s Office in the Bradley County Courthouse will also be open from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday. Cash, check or credit cards are accepted as payment at the Trustee’s Office.

Those needing to make payments for delinquent taxes also may do so at the Trustee’s Office.
