Two people were arrested Thursday morning after law enforcement officials were asked to search for a car which had reportedly been borrowed by one of those arrested.

The two were charged with alleged production of methamphetamine.

According to Bob Gault, media relations coordinator for the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office, April Michelle Durden, 33, had failed to return a vehicle from a resident in Chattanooga.

Deputies responded to a motel located on 25th Street and spotted the Honda Accord which had been listed in a “Be on the Lookout” request.

Troy Allan Hill, 33, was in a room at the motel with Durden.

After deputies found the car and Durden in Hill’s room, they discovered jars, funnels, coffee filters and ammonia nitrate, all components used in the alleged production of meth.

Both were arrested and charged with manufacturing methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to Gault, information received during the investigation led to the discovery the room which was occupied by Hill and Durden had been used to manufacture meth, prompting officials to possibly quarantine the room.

Both remain incarcerated at the Bradley County Jail, according to Gault.

- Medication and electronics were discovered missing from a Marina Hills Drive residence after the resident returned home.

The theft occurred last week.

According to a report filed by deputy Adam Ensley of the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office, Gary Williamson wsaid sometime between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Dec. 20, someone entered his home and took a 42-inch, flat-screen television from his bedroom. A 22-inch TV was also taken. Williamson discovered several doors to other rooms had also been opened.

Evidence was left at the scene by the perpetrators.

Criminal Investigations detectives responded to the scene to document and collect evidence.

Loss was estimated at $670.

Investigation is continuing.
