Prospect Elementary fifth-grade students enjoyed a visit with Nelson Kyasooka from Kampala, Uganda.

Teacher Jeannie Davis had met him in Kampala while on a mission trip this past summer. Nelson is a pastor in a slum in Kampala and takes care of street kids by providing housing and schooling for the children.

Currently, he has three group homes with 100 children living in them and he runs a school with 600 students in first grade through high school. Through pictures and stories, he shared with the fifth-grade students what life and school is like in Uganda.

Prospect fifth-grade students and faculty gave generously to Nelson's school in Kampala. Prospect plans to partner with his school to share letters, supplies and monetary gifts.
