He was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Artha Patterson Green.
Survivors include his children: Linda Moore of Deming, N.M., and David Green of Cohutta; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and three sisters: Martha Gates and Exie Flowers, both of Cleveland, and Dellie Conner of Blue Ridge, Ga.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 31, 2010, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Rev. James Whaley officiating. Interment will follow in Shady Grove Cemetery in Copperhill. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
