Vernetta Verna Reid, 62, a resident of Cleveland and formerly of Chicago, died Wednesday, May 21, 2014, at Erlanger Hospital.

She was the wife of Bishop Winston Reid, senior pastor of the Wildwood Church of God of Prophecy. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend and ministry leader.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bishop Alexander Williams and Ruth Alice Ferguson of the Bahamas Islands.

She is survived by her loving husband, Winston; children: Winston Jr., Tonya McKenny and Trevor; seven siblings: Iva Mae “Jackie” Cox, Pagel Williams, Judy Robinson, Grady Williams, Michael Williams, Leila Johnson and Shela Brown; nine grandchildren: Lenae, Boston, Brandon, Keenan, Kameron, Karson, Joshua, David, and Alexa; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 this evening, May 30, 2014, at the Church of God of Prophecy, followed by a time of worship and remembrance at 140 Wildwood Ave. S.E., Cleveland.

The Homegoing service will be held Saturday, May 31, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Westmore Church of God.
