Veronica “Ronnie” Sprague, 88, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2013, at the home of her daughter, Kathy, in Georgetown.

She was the daughter of the late Martin and Julia Niziol.

Originally from Minneapolis, Minn., she moved to Cleveland with her husband, “Red,” in 1949 for the opening of the American Uniform Co.

She was an avid gardener and bird-watcher. She spent her later years enjoying her time with children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lincoln “Red” Sprague.

She is survived by her sons: Daniel Sprague and wife, Linda, Martin Sprague and wife, Becky, and Patrick Sprague; daughters: Kathy Atnip and husband, Anthony, and Theresa Thompson and husband, Ron; nine grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

A private interment will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Jason Thompson, Michael Thompson, T.J. Atnip, Brandon Sprague, Shane Sprague and Jaden Martin serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Fike Funeral Home.
