Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church will have a “Building Relationships” program on July 19 from 9:30 to 11 a.m.

John Kie Vining, author, counselor, evangelist and pastor, will be speaking “frankly” about normal relationships.

His ministerial experience incudes serving as an evangelist pastor, college instructor and professional pastor counselor. He is a licensed professional counselor in Tennessee.

He has served as the director of counseling a testing at Lee University and a director of Counseling at the Church of God Center for Ministerial Care.

He presently serves as the director of the Center for Relational Health.

He is a member of the National Board of Certified Counselors, American Association of Christian Counselors, American Association of Pastoral Counselors, fellow and American Counseling Association.

Among his books are “Spirit-Centered Counseling, “When Home is Where the Hurt I,’ “covenant Marriage,” “Family Ministry Foundations, “Fire, Faith and Family: A Portrait of Spirit-filled families.”

Vining is a graduate of Lee College with a bachel o f science degree in biblical-historical studies;. He received his master of art degree in biblical literature form the Assemblies of God Graduate School. His doctor of ministry degree is from Columbia Theological Seminary.

Pastor Edward S. Robinson encourages those interested to attend the breakfast program on July 19.

A $7 donation will be taken at the door. The Church is located at 799 Inman St. East.

Pastor Ronnie Hampton will be the speaker for the Aug. 10 Men’s Day program at 3 p.m. at Pleasant Grove.
