Walker Valley High Future Business Leaders of America recently attended the State Leadership Conference in Chattanooga where members participated in various competitions, workshops and programs.

Walker Valley High Future Business Leaders of America recently attended the State Leadership Conference in Chattanooga where members participated in various competitions, workshops and programs. At the annual awards banquet on April 9, the following Walker Valley students were recognized as winners:

Zyan Kirkland, first place in business communication

Caityln Tharp, second place in Accounting II

Meeri Shin and Bailey Loseby, second place in business ethics

C.J. Jones and Blake Mason, second place in computer game simulation

Eric Parker, fourth place in Business Procedures

Maddie Bynum, fourth place in Help Desk

Liza Dender, fifth place in Impromptu Speaking

Walker Valley student, Megan Bryson, was recognized as Tennessee’s Outstanding female FBLA member of the year and was awarded the Ms. TN FBLA award. Megan has served as Tennessee’s FBLA vice-president for the past year and has been a previous region officer. Megan earns the right to participate at National Competition in California in June and will vie for the National Outstanding member award.

FBLA is the largest Business student organization in the world with more than 15,000 chapters and 250,000 members.
