Bradley County authorities are investigating the theft for Harold Erickson.
According to a report filed by deputy David Harper, Erickson visited his storage unit and discovered someone had cut the lock from the door.
Missing from the unit were sleeping bags, games, a collection of baseball cards, gold, a collection of DVD movies, VHS tapes, coins, storage totes, collectible dolls and other items.
The missing items were valued at $1,937.
n A homeowner disturbed a burglary in process Sunday when she reportedly heard a noise at her home and went to investigate.
According to a report filed by deputy John Davis of the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office, he responded to a Christian Drive address and met with the homeowner, who said she was resting when she heard a noise outside her living room window.
She looked out and saw a man attempting to pry open a door.
According to the report, the man then went to the rear of the house and attempted to pry a door open as well.
He then fled the scene on foot.
Criminal Investigations Division detectives responded to the scene to collect fingerprint evidence and document the damage to the residence.
Investigation is continuing.
n The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation removed a Chattanooga man from the state’s Top Ten Most Wanted list after he was taken into custody in Rock Hill, S.C.
Adrian Ladon Gustus, 38, of Chattanooga was captured by the Rock Hill Police Department and U.S. Marshals Tuesday, according to Kristen Helm, information officer for TBI.
Gustus was wanted on one count of felony murder, one count of especially aggravated robbery and one count of aggravated robbery after allegedly killing Winston Gant in Red Bank on July 28.
Gustus is currently awaiting extradition, according to Helm.
