Warrants for aggravated assault have been issued on Marquis Cobb, for his alleged involvement in a shooting Sunday afternoon.

Jeremy Landon Clemmons, 22, was struck by three bullets allegedly fired by Cobb, according to Cleveland Police Department media spokesperson Evie West.

The shooting occurred just before 3 p.m. on 6th Street.

CPD Criminal Investigations Division detective Stacy Smith is in charge of the investigation, according to Lt. Robert Harbison.

West said there was an altercation in the street and Clemmons was shot.

Bradley County Emergency Medical Service paramedics responded to the scene and transported Clemmons to SkyRidge Medical Center for treatment then later transferred to Erlanger Medical Center.

Harbison said Clemmons’ injuries were not believed to be life threatening. Harbison noted today another person was nearby when the shooting occurred, resulting in multiple warrants for alleged aggravated assault being placed against Cobb.

Harbison said the investigation is continuing and no motive has been established yet. Cobb was not in custody as of press time.
