Kindergarten and CDC students focused on inventors of lollipops and life savers. First grade and CDC students focused on leaders with disabilities such as Helen Keller, Eunice Shriver (Special Olympics) and Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Third grade focused on Civil Rights Leader Dr. Martin Luther King. Fourth grade focused on leaders in Tennessee history. Fifth grade focused on U.S. Military.
The top three winners from each grade group were announced at the October PTO Meeting. Artwork was displayed in the hallway for all to view followed by a reception for artists and parents. The children enjoyed learning about leaders and applying this through their art work.
