The Welcome Valley Boys will headline the final Cowboy Gospel Jubilee of the season, this Friday evening at 7.

“The Welcome Valley Boys are a terrific bluegrass gospel band from Benton, known for their traditional sound and pleasing harmony," said Will Nichols, producer of the weekly Opry-style show. "They are an excellent band to close out our season."

The Welcome Valley Boys were originally started during their eighth-grade year by Jake Brown and Blake Wilcox.

Also appearing on the Jubilee are singer/songwriter Elmer Bramlett, Amy McAlister, Emily Varnell, as well as the Cowboy Church Band and Chorale. Ron Upchurch is the announcer.

“The Cowboy Jubilee is a come-as-you-are event,” Nichols said, “and is located between Blackburn Road and Blue Springs Road in the Dockery Heights subdivision. A love offering is taken for the headliners.”

The Cowboy Gospel Jubilee will be on Summer hiatus starting next week, and will return Sept. 5.
