Wesley B. Green, 78, of Kerrville, Texas, passed away Friday, May 17, 2013.

He was born June 19, 1934, in Ironsburg, a son of the late Charles Green and Leona West Green.

He is survived by his wife, Jane Shelton Green; son, Greg Green of San Antonio; grandson, J.D. Kunz Jr. of San Antonio; brother, Verlin D. Green of Cleveland; sisters: Linda Lawhorn and husband, Ken, of Cleveland, Jean Wilson of Ocoee and Shirley Cecil and husband, Pete, of Decatur.

He retired from Magic Chef after 36 years. After moving to Kerrville in 1997, he volunteered at the Kerrville VA Hospital weekly for 16 years. He and Jane truly loved living in Kerrville and the many friends there.

He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church Jubilee class. Also, he was a member of Disabled American Veterans, Fishing Club of America, the NRA, and the American Legion. He loved to hunt, fish, travel and help folks around the neighborhood. He also enjoyed watching sports on TV.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Grimes Funeral Chapels of Kerrville, officiated by the Rev. Chris Christopherson and the Rev. John Wheat.

Burial will be at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio on Wednesday, May 29, 2013, at 1 p.m.
