William Dean “Eddie” Barnes, 60, a resident of Cleveland, passed away on Saturday April 28, 2012, in a local hospital.
He was a lifelong resident of Cleveland and was born on June 22, 1951.
He is the son of the late Jim and Beulah Barnes of Cleveland.
He was a mechanic in the automotive industry and was of the Baptist faith.
He was known for his love of wrestling and animals. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and was a caring and loving father, spouse and sibling.
In addition to his mother and father, he was preceded in death by three brothers: Berlin, Kenneth, and Hughie Cooley; and son, David Dewayne Beavers.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Evelyn Marie Barnes; son, James Edward Barnes Sr. (Rebecca); one daughter, Angela Hile (John) of Crystal River, Fla.; four sisters: Ginger Martin (J.R.), Linda Barnes, Brenda Brown of Donville, Ga., Shirley Tinsley of Dalton, Ga.; five grandchildren: James Edward Barnes Jr., Renesmee Charlie Barnes, Marcus, Nathan, and Madison Hile of Crystal River, Fla.; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Junior Martin, Bruce Pierce, Willie Johnson, Charles Prince, Michael Wilson, and Bobby Johnson Jr. will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends Tuesday May 1, 2012, at Companion Funeral & Cremation Service from 6 to 8 p.m. with a brief memorial service following.
