William E. “Bill” Dean, Sr., 71, a resident of McDonald passed away at his residence on Wednesday, May 23, 2012, surrounded by his family.

He was born on Nov. 22, 1941, a son of the late Frank and Anna Spurling Dean.

He has been a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga/McDonald area. He is a member of the Old Fashioned Gospel Tabernacle.

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in by one sister, Doris Cumming.

He leaves here to cherish his memory his wife of five years, Martha Dean; four daughters: Teens Dean of Ooltewah, Angel Dean of Rossville, Ga., Sharon Randolph of Ooltewah, and Tracy Keith of Cleveland; three sons: William E. Dean Jr. of Ooltewah, Larry Dewayne Keith of Pikeville, and Bobby Allen Keith of Ooltewah; two brothers: Jerry Dean of Jacksonville, Fla., and Timmy Dean of Clewiston, Fla.; 17 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.

A funeral will be held on Monday, May 28, 2012, at 7 p.m. at the Old Fashioned Gospel Tabernacle with the Rev. Ron Kesley officiating.

The family will receive friends at the church on Monday from 4 p.m. until the 7 p.m. service time.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be sent to The Dean Family, 5203 McDonald Road, McDonald, TN 37353 to offset Bill’s medical expenses.
