William Paul “Bill” Eilber, 77, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Monday afternoon, March 11, 2013, at his home.

He was born in Stroudsburg, Pa., on March 23, 1935. He had made Cleveland his home for the past eight years.

He was of the Christian faith and a member of the Evening Light Tabernacle. He enjoyed fishing, was an avid sports lover and took great pride in coaching his sons baseball teams while they were growing up.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of almost eight years, Virginia Ballinger Eilber; one daughter, Kerrie Eilber of Baltimore, Md.; two sons: Pete (Donna) Eilber and Tim (Dawn) Eilber; four brothers: Jack (Helen) Eilber, Teb (Sylvia) Eilber, Leroy (Barbara) Eilber and Roger Eilber, all of Stroudsburg; two stepsons: Ronnie Ballinger of Cleveland and Terry Ballinger of Chattanooga; and several other extended family members and friends.

A memorial service is planned for Thursday, March 14, 2013, at 7 p.m. at the Evening Light Tabernacle, 20th Street S.E., in Cleveland with the Rev. Bill Beaty and the Rev. Kevin Mendel officiating.

The family will receive friends on Thursday at the church from 6 p.m. until the service.
