Jewelry was reported taken during a home and car burglary, and one person was charged after a property owner subdued and held the suspect until law enforcement arrived.

According to a report filed by deputy Melanie Johnson of the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office, Ricky Gray, 30, was charged with three counts of aggravated burglary and three counts of burglary.

He was also charged with theft under $500.

Johnson’s report noted Casey McKenzie was a victim and Dustin Anderson was a witness in the case.

According to her report, Gray had allegedly kicked a door in at McKenzie’s residence, then entered another structure and two vehicles which were parked in the driveway at the home. A necklace was taken from one of the cars.

Anderson reportedly subdued Gray prior to Johnson’s arrival.

Gray was taken into custody and booked on the charges at the Bradley County Jail.

n A Suzuki motorcycle and accessories were taken during a burglary of an outbuilding.

According to a report filed by deputy Jeremy Guthrie of the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office, Marcus Dale said someone entered his garage and took a 2000 Suzuki Katana sport bike and two full-face safety helmets.

The theft was believed to have occurred Friday, according to the report.

Guthrie noted no sign of forced entry to the garage, but did notice a lock had been removed from the door and placed nearby.

Dale said the motorcycle has a loud exhaust and he didn’t believe the perpetrators drove it from the scene.

According to Guthrie, evidence at the scene suggested two people had pushed the bike from the garage.

The motorcycle was described as being a 750 cc model with yellow paint.

According to the report, it was valued at $3,500. The helmets were valued at $150 each.
