Wonder why you can’t find a thing to wear in a closet too full to hang another item? Do you purchase “bargains” on sale but never wear them? Do you wear the same outfit over and over?

If you answered “Yes” to even one of these questions, then make plans to attend the upcoming program titled “Why We Don’t Wear Everything in Our Closets” on Oct. 22 at noon at the Cleveland/Bradley Chamber of Commerce.

Taught by Pat Fuller, owner of Orange Blossom Boutique, this informative and entertaining lunch-and-learn program is being offered to Chamber members and nonmembers as part of the Women’s Council programming of the Cleveland/Bradley Chamber of Commerce.

“A discussion of our closets and what we put in them is always an attention-grabbing topic for women,” said Nancy Neal, vice president for communications. “If your closet is overflowing or if you need advice on how to make wiser purchases, this is the session for you.”

Pat Fuller has 30 years experience making women feel good about themselves. In this class, she will offer advice on how to organize your closet so it is more functional. She will also focus on how to “buy great, not good.”

“Sometimes we need to figure out why we don’t wear what we have,” Fuller said about the overflowing closets of many women. “We often hang on to a dress or a blouse for sentimental reasons. Or we don’t wear an outfit because it makes us feel frumpy when we put it on or some negative event is associated with that particular suit. Sometimes we just need to know when to let things go.”

Although the luncheon is not a fashion show, Fuller will bring a few items to show attendees how to mix and match pieces for greater variety in their wardrobes.

“Lots of times women buy clothes, particularly sale items, and then don’t know how to put them together,” Fuller said. “But is it a bargain if we buy something on sale and never wear it?”

The cost of the session is $10 for Chamber members and $15 for nonmembers and includes a buffet luncheon. To register for the session, call 472-6587 by noon on Friday, Oct. 19. Chamber members also may register online at www.clevelandchamber.com on the community calendar (http://clevelandbradleychamber.chambermaster.com/Events/details/women-s-council-program-dress-for-success-for-less-3381).

“Join us for what is sure to be a fun and interactive event,” Neal said. “Women’s Council is a wonderful opportunity for businesswomen, those who are Chamber members and those who are interested in the program, to network and to learn about topics of particular interest to women.”
