World Series Bound
The Bradley North Red 8-year-old All-star team pulled out today for Southaven, Ms., to participate in the Dizzy Dean World Series July 23-28. The opening ceremony will be held Friday evening with pool play games to begin Saturday. A total of 62 teams are slated to participate in this year’s tournament. They All-stars played in tournaments at Harrison (third-place finish), East Ridge, and Middle Valley. They placed second the district tournament at Blue Springs Park and finished second in the state tournament at Bradley North. One reason for this teams success is that we are in double digits for out of the park home runs. That is an amazing statistic considering these kids are 8 years old. The hard working group hopes to represent Cleveland with a strong finish in the World Series. Front row, from left, Logan Weeks, Eli Milen, Corbin Liner, Easton Clark and C.J. Dills.
