Polk County golf teams tee off
The Polk County golf teams already have a trio of matches under their belt, with another scheduled for Wednesday. The Wildcats took on Boyd-Buchanan and Silverdale Baptist Academy twice last week, once at Chatata Valley and the other time at Bear Trace, in a pair of 18-hole matches, before traveling to the Links at Kahite Golf Course (in Vonore) on Monday to take on Tellico Plains. The Lady Wildcats are off to a 4-1 start, while the Polk boys are 2-3 after a 193-233 win over Tellico Monday.
