Headline: 2 Deep Within to headline the Cowboy Gospel Jubilee
2 Deep Within, a popular recording and performing duo from Chattanooga, will headline the free Cowboy Gospel Jubilee this Friday evening at 7 p.m.
“It’s always an incredible evening when David and Deborah Bledsoe headline the Jubilee,” said Steve Poteet, producer of the Jubilee. “They are two of the most talented performers we’ve seen. Plus, they recently added Shay Ballard, Brian Clay and Ron Malcolm on backup vocals to add even more depth to the group.” The group also includes Xavier Bledsoe on keyboard and Jeffrey Lyons on drums.
2 Deep Within’s unique stylings and vocals provide an impressive musical and worship experience that’s impossible to pigeonhole. The music is a superb blending of smooth jazz and urban contemporary gospel, flavored with a little doo-wop and R&B. Their artistry ranges from children’s songs to their signature Gospel Jazz.
“David and Deborah write much of their own music,” added Poteet, “David is a multi-instrumentalist and Deborah is an accomplished lyricist. Besides performing together, they write a variety of music for plays, weddings and other artists."
Also appearing on the Jubilee is the award-winning singer-songwriter Elmer Bramlett and Joel Moore, as well as Pastor Wally Varnell with his Merle Travis-style guitar picking.
“The Cowboy Gospel Jubilee is a come-as-you-are event,” Poteet said, “and is located at Cleveland Cowboy Church located between Blackburn Road and Blue Springs Road, in the Dockery Heights subdivision. A love offering is taken for the headliners.”
