Agnes Jo Clemmer, 75, of Calhoun, passed away peacefully at Parkwest Hospital in Knoxville on Thursday, May 16, 2019.
She was born in Sweetwater and loved going to yard sales and church singings. She carried a very active social life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe Daniel Goodman and Mary Frances Decker (R.L.); her mother-in-law, Mary Effie Lunsford; brothers: Tom, Glynn and Lynn Goodman; and sisters: Sammie Jean Arden and Cathy Hill.
Survivors include her husband and companion of 57 years, Herbert Clemmer; daughters: Cinde Maddox and Sandra Day; grandchildren: Brad Maddox, Clint Maddox (Bridgette) and Christopher Day; great-grandchildren: Jayden, Alexes, Kallie, Ethan and Conner; brother, Ivan Goodman (Betty); sister, Janice Hicks; sisters-in-law: Margie Shirk, Stella Burnette and Minnie Katherine Tetter; a special niece, Connie Coffman; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, May 19, 2019, at Companion Funeral Home, Athens Chapel.
The funeral will follow with the Rev. Scott Martin officiating.
The family and friends will gather at the First Baptist Church of Calhoun Cemetery for burial on Monday, at 10 a.m.
