Athens Federal Community Bank is one of only 85 institutions in the nation named “Best Banks to Work For” in 2018.

The Best Banks to Work For program, which was initiated in 2013 by American Banker and Best Companies Group, identifies, recognizes and honors U.S. banks for outstanding employee satisfaction. Full results of this year’s program are available at American Banker and in the September issue of American Banker Magazine.

“Our annual ranking recognizes the financial institutions that are committed to investing in employees’ job satisfaction, career development and personal growth – a ‘return on assets’ that can be hard to measure by traditional means,” said Marc Hochstein, editor in chief of American Banker.

Best Companies Group managed the overall registration and survey process and also analyzed the data and used their expertise to determine the final ranking.

“It is a tremendous honor to be recognized as one of the best places to work. This says a lot about our culture and most of all about our employees. Customer service is the heart beat of our mission as a community bank and service starts with employees who are fulfilled, dedicated and passionate about their work and about the customers they serve,” commented Jeff Cunningham, president and CEO of Athens Federal.
