Barbara Ann Schaffer Teague
Barbara Ann Schaffer Teague, born March 15, 1939, passed away early Christmas morning at her home in Cleveland. She was 78 years old.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willis Paul Teague; and her oldest grandson, Cory Alexander Teague.
She is survived by her son, Brian Teague and his wife, Kaye, and her son, Kevin Teague, and his wife, Cindy, all of Cleveland. She was blessed with seven grandchildren: Heather Teague, stationed at Shaw Air Force Base, S.C., KaLee Allen (Lucas), McKinnley Teague (Emily), Mary Weller (Manny), Madelyn Teague, Kara Teague and Kaylee Jones, all of Cleveland; and three great-grandchildren, Luke and Ava Allen and Jemma Teague.
She graduated with her associates degree from Lycoming College in Williamsport, Pa., and her nursing degree from Roosevelt Hospital, N.Y., N.Y. While in Cleveland, she worked as a Med-Surg nurse at the old Bradley Memorial Hospital, Hamilton County Nursing Home as a charge nurse, and she served various clients of Life Bridges before retiring.
She was a member of Thompson Springs Baptist Church, where the family will receive friends on Thursday, Dec. 28, 2017, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.
The funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. and her son, the Rev. Kevin Teague, will be officiating. A private family interment will take place on Friday in the Veterans Section of Fort Hill Cemetery.
The family requests memorials be made to Hospice of Chattanooga at 4411 Oakwood Drive Chattanooga, TN 37416.
