Betty Kaye Smith, 72, of Cleveland, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2019, in a local healthcare facility.
She was of the Baptist faith and was retired from Whirlpool after 44 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Lizzie Mantooth Kersey; and siblings: Kenneth Kersey, Roy Kersey, Billy Kersey, Bobby Kersey, Ruthanna Kersey-Suggs and Grace Disharoon.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Donald Smith of Cleveland; sister, Patsy Kersey Williams and husband, Ronald, of Cleveland; brother-in-law, Jimmy Disharoon of Cleveland; and many nieces, nephews and loved ones too numerous to mention.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 10, 2019, in Sunset Memorial Gardens, with Pastor David Evans officiating. Chris Williams, Cole Williams, Mike Averett, Brandon Smith, Mike Brown and Jeremy Kirby will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. this evening, Aug. 9, 2019, at Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home.
