Charlene Ann Burtt, 59, passed away Friday, Oct. 6, 2017, at her residence.
A resident of Cleveland since 1984, she retired as a nurse and counselor. She worked at Open Arms Care, the Department of Human Services and Valley Community Hospital. She attended Cleveland State Community College and Southern Adventist College and held a master’s degree in social work.
She is survived by her mother, Jeanne; brothers: Mark and Keith; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
In the celebration of Charlene’s life, she now finishes the journey to join her father, Charles; and youngest brother, Layne; who preceded her in death.
A family memorial service will be held in Charlene’s former hometown of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and we ask all neighbors and friends to rejoice in her life with their prayers. She had a deep love for her pets, and in lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the SPCA of Bradley County.
Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services’ North Ocoee Street Chapel has charge of the arrangements.
We encourage you to share your memories and/or condolences with Burtt’s family by going to www.jimrushfuneralhomes.com.
