The Mormon congregation on Pryor Road in Cleveland will hold a social on Thursday. The public is invited to participate. For more information, call 423-994-1734.

Union Grove Church of Christ, Bates Pike, will have its monthly clothing giveaway at 10 a.m. on Saturday.

Gum Springs Baptist Church will have a Thanksgiving service Nov. 21, at 6:30 p.m. Everyone is invited to the service and a soup and salad dinner. Call 458-4348 for more information.

Boanerges Baptist Church will have a benefit singing Saturday, starting at 4:30 p.m., for the Pickel family. Everyone is invited to be guests of the youth group, which will host a spaghetti dinner after the singing. Prospect Church of God, 2220 Harrison Pike, will have special music featuring the 2X2 Quartet, along with the children's and youth departments on Sunday morning. A Thanksgiving dinner will be served after the service. There will be no evening service.

Thompson Springs Baptist Church will have a gospel singing Sunday, 11 a.m., featuring Gary Winningham.

The Rev. James Scott will minister at Community Hall Church, 1305 Sixth St., Sunday at 11 a.m.

Trinity United Methodist Church, 731 First St., N.E., will hold its Harvest Festival bake sale beginning at 11 a.m. on Saturday with cakes, pies and more — Thanksgiving desserts are waiting on you.

Amy Simonds will speak Thursday, 7 p.m., at Souls Outreach Church, 2254 Spring Place Road.

A community Thanksgiving service, jointly sponsored by the churches of Charleston, will be Nov. 21, 7 p.m., at Watson's Chapel AME Zion Church, 311 Market St. The Thanksgiving message will be delivered by the Rev. David Cross of Charleston First Baptist Church.
